Enrolments Coordinator – Remote
Employment Type: Full time
TravelBud is looking for a fulltime, dedicated, qualified, innovative and dynamic Enrolments Coordinator to add and develop their skill set to further the unique teach abroad horizons set by TravelBud as a leader in the industry.
Enrolment Coordinators play a vital role in signing on new teachers to the programs we offer.
It is essentially a sales role and while sales experience is preferred but not required, you will need to have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, think on your feet, work well in a team, be able to talk to people from all walks of life and have initiative to take ownership of your leads, be able to assess their needs and express TravelBud’s ability to meet those needs.
We pride ourselves on the fact that our team has all taught abroad and can offer first hand experience. While having teaching experience abroad will be advantageous, we will also be accepting applications from those who have worked in the travel industry or successfully met targets in a sales role before.
You will receive in depth training on product information and sales training from our Enrolments Director and need to be willing to learn new skills.
TravelBud works remotely and currently has team members in South Africa and the USA with satellite offices across South East Asia.
General Info
Enrolment Coordinators report to the Enrolments Director of TravelBud. They will work closely with the Support Director, Placement teams in country and the Senior Enrolments Coordinator.

There will be a training and induction period, as well as a probationary period.
You will be provided with computer equipment and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) headset.
Remuneration
There will be a fair, basic salary, as well as performance-driven, individual commission that essentially allows you to write your own paycheck.
Interview
Successful applications will be required to complete an interview with a panel of Directors from TravelBud.
The interview may require preparation for a role-play scenario on the part of the candidate and a culture-fit interview.

Primary Responsibilities:
The demanding position of Program coordinator seeks to fulfill a role that involves:
- Speaking to and engaging with new leads that enquire about our programs
- Correspond with leads via email, VoiP and phone to the point of conversion and play an active role in increasing TravelBud’s current sales volume
- Work closely with TravelBud’s Enrolments Director who will provide you with mentorship and guidance to aid you in meeting the company’s performance requirements within this role
- Adopting and following the techniques, processes, and training provided by your Enrolments Director

Junior Program Coordinator – Cape Town, South Africa and/or Remote

We have a remote working position open: we are looking for a new team member to join us as Junior Program Coordinator.
We are looking for an organized, detailed orientated and passionate individual to join our team and be part of a growing program. The ideal candidate will have previous experience having taught abroad.

The coordinator position will work closely with and report to the Program Support Manager.
As a Junior Program Coordinator at TravelBud, you’ll be communicating with people from all over the world who have signed up for one of our Teach Abroad programs. You’ll be responsible for assisting with pre-departure and post-arrival processes, advice and encouragement they need to embark on the life-changing journey of education, adventure and personal growth.
Our applicants contact us by email, phone, WhatsApp and Skype, so having strong written and spoken interpersonal skills will get you far.
Like the rest of the TravelBud team, you’ll need to be a great people person and work closely with our Support Manager and Enrollments Team to ensure our programs run smoothly and our applicants are well looked after.

Your day will consist of:
- Responding to emails in a timely manner
Speaking on the phone with applicants who have questions or concerns - Answering WhatsApp messages and assisting applicants where need be
- Assisting with document collection
- Explaining processes such as VISA application, flight bookings and travel insurance
- Quoting applicants for travel insurance
- Keeping up to date with VISA requirements and information regarding each country in which we offer programs
- Liaising and working closely with our partners
- Keeping up to date on all information regarding our programs
- Requesting reviews and speaking to applicants on how we could improve our services
- Invoicing and keeping track of payments
- Following up with applicants and reporting back to the support manager if improvements in the support process can be made
- Reporting back to the support manager with constructive ways to make your job easier
- Liaising with the rest of the TravelBud team on issues and successes

- Previous experience teaching in South Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar, Costa Rica, Japan or anywhere else is strongly preferred
Requirements:
- Matric certificate or preferably higher educational qualification
- Have taught English abroad before
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken
- Strong administrative skills
- Proficient computer skills, preferably in programs such as Google Suite (Docs, Calender, Gmail) and Salesforce or equivalent Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
- Be willing to work remotely (unless based in Cape Town, then remotely for 2-3 times a week)
