This program offers eligible candidates the opportunity to experience the incredible magic of living and working in Japan and contributing to Japanese communities through teaching English as an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) at public schools across Japan.

Program Highlights

A full-time, paid position as an ALT in Japanese public schools. The position is an incredible segway into a full-time teaching position but offers the teacher an opportunity to ease into teaching as an assistant in the classroom, helping Japanese co-teachers as the native English teacher.

Your main role will be to assist with pronunciation, grammar and classroom logistics.

Salary of +-$1500 USD per month (may fluctuate due to exchange rates) – this is one of the best salary ranges for non-degree-holding teachers in the entire Teach Abroad industry!

The position will start in late March 2024 and run until late March 2025, using the Working Holiday Visa.

You’ll have the opportunity to fully immerse yourself into Japanese culture and build up a support network of fellow expatriate teachers while bolstering your employability and gaining invaluable international teaching experience.

Our partner schools will assist in your accommodation setup and you simply pay the monthly rental.
