What is TESOL?
TESOL is Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. It is a training program with many practical and theoretical implementations that teaches you the skills and strategies you will need to successfully teach English abroad as a second language. It is a fundamental requirement that applicants complete one of TravelBud’s 120-hour TESOL courses in order to be eligible for job placement in ether Thailand or South Korea

The TESOL courses provided through TravelBud have been chosen as they are the most interactive, fun and specifically tailored for the country which applicants wish to teach English in.
All of TravelBud’s courses cover the following modules over a 4-week duration with each module being tailored specifically to the country which the course is preparing the applicant to teach English in:
- Module 1: Introduction to TESOL, the specific country’s culture and language
- Module 2: Theory and Lesson Planning
- Module 3: Teaching Grammar
- Module 4: Teaching Reading
- Module 5: Teaching Listening
- Module 6: Teaching Speaking
- Module 7: Classroom Management
All courses, whether online or in-country, take place over 4 weeks and are highly interactive to ensure that course instructors can make certain that all students are keeping up with the curriculum, are becoming fully prepared to teach English in the destination which the course is tailored to and that they all pass the course.
