Companies and organisations do not provide meals or transport. However, it’ll be easy for you to find accommodation that’s within walking distance, or a few short stops on the public transport system.

Can I be placed with my friend or partner?

We often have students sign up to go to the same destination in groups, and we love that! However, getting placed at the same company/organisation depends on a number of things, like your backgrounds, skill sets and what each company/organisation is looking for and if they want more than one intern.

What are the working hours?

Working hours are different for each company/organisation, but generally you’d be expected to have a 40-hour work week.

What type of companies/organisation will I be interning in?

The company or organisation where you’ll intern will depend on your preferred industry. During the application process, you’ll be asked for your preferences and receive information and guidance on how everything works.

Once you pay your deposit, you’ll start chatting with an adviser to find your ideal placement.

Your adviser will not only answer any and all of your questions, they’ll also help you figure out what is the best way forward to meet your goals.

Based on this, you’ll be presented with 1 to 3 placement offers for you to choose the one you like best. If none of the options suit you, your adviser will go back to the drawing board until you are happy with an offer.

What if once I arrive I am unhappy with my internship? Can I be placed somewhere else?

We understand there are situations where an internship just doesn’t work out. If you are unhappy, our in-countries partners will follow up with you to better understand the situation as a whole.

Sometimes, issues can arise from areas as unexpected as culture shock and simple misunderstandings, so a full placement change is not usually called for. However, if the situations warrants it, our in-country partners will do everything they can to find you a more suitable placement.
